Supply list recommendations

SUPPLY LIST: (If I have missed anything, I will add it ASAP)

  • Mixed Media Art Journal at least A5 size (8.27 in x 5.83 in) or larger. Nicci will be using a Stillman & Birn BETA 8×10 journal.
  • A pad of Bristol Paper (i.e. Canson smooth 100lb 9×12 inches).
  • Matte acrylic paint in your favourite colours plus light blue, dark, blue, yellow, pink, red, white, black and skin tone. Nicci will mostly be using Paper Artsy Fresco Finish acrylic paints.
  • Your favourite embossing powders in clear sparkle, blue, gold + your favourites. Nicci will be using WOW! Embossing powders, pen, stamp pad & heat tool. (not essential, but they do add some fabulousness to your pages)
  • Undersketch pencil in a light colour. Either a mechanical Pilot color-eno or a col-erase pencil.
  • Eraser. Nicci uses a STAEDTLER Mars Plastic pen shaped one & a STAEDTLER karat art eraser (the grey gummy one).
  • Watercolour paint, a basic palette is fine. You may want to add one metallic shimmer paint, like a bright gold.
  • Double sided craft tape (ie: Sookwang) any thinner dimension and/or quick clear drying paper glue (ie: Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive).
  • Masking/painters tape.
  • Permanent (waterproof) black ink brush pen and fine liner. (ie: Pentel Pocket Brush Pen & 0.5 or 0.8 Pentel Pointliner).
  • Watersoluble crayons and or pencils in the same colours as the paints mentioned above. (ie: Caran d’Ache neocolonial II’s and or Derwent Intense pencils. If you have other brands, that is fine.) If you do not have these, you can achieve similar techniques using layers of watercolour paints or pencil crayons.
  • Small detail scissors & SLICE exacto blade for 'fussy' cutting.
  • brads for making spinning elements.
  • Paint brushes (ie: round #8, & #10, Filbert #2). Some dollars store brushes like the ‘Master Stroke’ blue handled ones work fine.
  • Paper Towel or a paint cloth for wiping your brushed on.

OPTIONAL ITEMS:

  • Action WOBBLES from Hampton Arts.
  • Cotton Lace for tea/coffee dying (Scrap strips of cotton fabric will work as well).
  • Mini Lights (1 metre long with 10 LED lights). These are the ones Nicci uses.
  • Pentel SPARKLE POP pens in gold & blue.
  • favourite stamps.
  • clear plastic sheets for making widows, etc.
  • oil pastels
